Job Description: E-Commerce & Web Systems Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile, detail-oriented E-Commerce & Web Systems Specialist who can adapt to a variety of responsibilities and support multiple areas of the business. This individual will have experience managing e-commerce websites and product catalogs, web development, software integrations, and online sales optimization. The ideal candidate understands sales and purchasing processes well enough to provide backup support as needed and can identify opportunities to improve website performance, streamline workflows, and increase online sales. Must have HTML, CSS and strong JavaScript skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

• E-Commerce Management: Manage and maintain e-commerce websites, online product catalogs, product listings, pricing, and related data to ensure accuracy and a positive customer experience.
• Web Development: Support website development, maintenance, and enhancements, including the creation and customization of website themes to meet business needs.
• Systems Integration: Develop, manage, and maintain API integrations that connect different software applications, platforms, and data sources.
• iPaaS Integration: Utilize an Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) solution to connect business systems, automate workflows, and improve data exchange between platforms.
• ERP Integration: Maintain and monitor integrations between e-commerce channels, shipping platforms, and the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to ensure accurate and reliable data flow.
• Website Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities to improve website functionality, user experience, productivity, and overall e-commerce performance.
• Sales Growth: Evaluate website performance and recommend improvements designed to increase conversion rates, improve customer engagement, and drive online sales.
• Cross-Functional Support: Provide backup support for sales and purchasing functions, demonstrating an understanding of order processing, purchasing workflows, inventory, and customer requirements.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve website, catalog, integration, and data synchronization issues while working with internal teams and external technology providers as needed.
• Process Improvement: Recommend and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual work, and support business growth.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience managing e-commerce websites and online product catalogs.
• Knowledge of web development, including custom website themes and functionality.
• Must have minimum 3 years' experience in HTML, CSS, and strong JavaScript skills.
• Experience working with APIs and integrating software applications and data sources.
• Familiarity with iPaaS platforms and automated system integrations.
• Experience integrating e-commerce platforms and shipping systems with an ERP system.
• Understanding of sales, purchasing, order management, and inventory processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable supporting different business functions as needed.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
