About the Role: A highly regarded regional law firm is seeking a skilled and client-focused
Estate Planning Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its team. This is an opportunity to grow your career in a collegial, team-oriented environment while working on sophisticated estate planning and wealth preservation matters for individuals, families, and closely held businesses.
Responsibilities: - Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, durable powers of attorney, and advance directives.
- Provide strategic guidance on estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer (GST), and income tax planning.
- Advise clients on charitable giving, business succession planning, and asset protection.
- Collaborate with fiduciaries, financial advisors, and tax professionals to implement estate and wealth transfer plans.
- Support clients through probate and trust administration processes, including court filings and beneficiary communication.
- Conduct legal research and stay current on state and federal tax and estate laws.
Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related tax matters.
- Strong understanding of Oregon probate code and estate/gift tax regulations.
- LL.M. in Taxation or CPA background is preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage long-term client relationships.
- Exceptional drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Must be licensed to practice in Maryland.
